Unfortunate deja vu

OK. Does anyone remember this post? Well, guess what? This morning we received a phone call informing us that the clinic was broken into! Good grief, people! First of all, why do people steal? And second of all, why do they decide to do it around Thanksgiving?

Apparently, someone, somehow, punched the lock out of the front door, walked inside and tried to steal the TV...you know, the one that replaced the TV that was stolen exactly one year ago. It was obvious that it was the television that the thief was after. Thankfully, the alarm went off (thanks to our upgraded security system after last year's event) and scared the thief away before he was able to take the TV. We have the TV mounted on the wall now so it's not as easy as walking up to it and snatching it.

We are fortunate that the only money we are out is on the new locks installed today. And, we have decided that it may be best to have the glass on the front door of the clinic frosted so people cannot see through. Apparently, being able to see the television through the front door is a little too tempting for some people out there!
