Our Christmas

Our Christmas was really good this year...like it is every year. But, it was a little more fun this year because Bryson kind of understood what was going on and knew that Santa was bringing him toys. So Christmas morning, Bryson got up out of bed and started heading down the stairs. On his way down, he saw toys laying out by the fireplace and he let out a big squeal! I have never seen him go down the stairs that fast! As he was running over to all of his toys, he yelled out "motorcycle!!!" as he ran over and grabbed the little red scooter that Santa left him. Motorcycle? We tried to tell him that it was a scooter, but he just kept saying "No, motorcycle" so a "motorcycle" it is!
Here is all of Bryson's loot that Santa left for him
Santa left Bryson a Cars carrier filled with all of the cars from the movie. Santa thought that this would be a great way to keep his cars all together...Bryson had different ideas. He doesn't want his cars in the carrier, he ONLY likes them ALL laying out on the coffee table.

Here is Daddy showing Bryson how to work his new camera. When Bryson saw it, he picked it up and yelled "cheese!".

Bryson admiring all of his toys and deciding which one to pick up next

Taking the cars out of the carrier. They belong on the coffee table ONLY, you know.

Every year we set up the camera, turn the timer on, and take a family picture in front of the Christmas tree. We were excited/shocked that Bryson actually looked at the camera and smiled without someone standing behind it!

Later that day, we went over to my parents house. Here is Bryson's cousin, Dillon, admiring a book that he was given for Christmas.

For lunch, we went over to my Mamaw's house where my entire family gathered together. It was nice to have everyone, both sides of the family, all together. Bryson brought his singing Rudolph and climbed onto Poppie's lap and made Poppie sing "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" a few times. Of course Poppie didn't mind one bit!
That night we stopped by Jerrod's grandparent's house.
Bryson playing with Mack from the movie Cars. I tell you what. ANYTHING "Cars" that he received was a BIG hit!

That pretty much sums up our day. It was busy but good. Bryson had a lot of fun so that made us happy.

...Tonight (the day after Christmas) Bryson asked me to "turn on the fire", so I did. He then sat down on the rock in front of the fireplace and asked for a present. If you saw the pictures from Christmas eve, you would have seen that he was sitting in front of the fire opening a present. So I had to explain to him that all of his presents have been opened now and he'll have to wait until his birthday and next Christmas to get more! Surprisingly, he was ok with this :)

What would Christmas be like without Cars!!!!

We have a Thomas the Train holder for all of Noah's trains, not a single train is in the case. I think they make those for mom's only.

Love the family pic in front of the tree, we should have thought of that!

What fun!

Elijah needs a car carrier now-or maybe Missy needs one so she doesn't step on her foot. :)
