I'm pretty much ready for the Olympics now!

I woke up yesterday and got ready to head out to the slopes to see if my knee felt better. I was on the lift at 9am...one of the first ones out there. I started down the slope and my knee was sore, but it didn't hurt. Being one of the first ones down, it was nice to ski on the freshly groomed snow. I skied down to the base and made my way up again. Apparently Jerrod was spying on me and when I made my way back down, he said "I'm going to buy a lift ticket and we are going up to the top". So, yesterday Tracy went to the very tip top of the mountain. It was beyond freezing up there! My face and lips were numb! Thank goodness there was a cabin up there that you could go into and warm up! We then skied down and I gotta say that yesterday was the most fun I've ever had skiing. I think I finally have the hang of this skiing stuff! And, it's pretty fun. Jerrod said that he was "proud" of me :)

Last night was our last night here, so we had a nice dinner. We missed out on the free smores though!

Today we will do a little last minute shopping and head out of town. The airport is only about 30 minutes away, so that's nice. We had a lot of fun. As Jodi said in a post a month or two ago, I highly recommend a getaway with the husband. It was really nice.

We hope to go skiing again next winter, and may even take Bryson. You can begin ski lessons at age 3 and I highly recommend learning how to ski at a young age! It's harder the older you get!

So, it's back to the real world today. I love my "real world" but I also loved skiing. We had a great time!

If anyone is planning a ski vacation...try out Beaver Creek!

Looks beautiful Tracy! Gunnar and I are heading to Colorado Springs to speak at a semenar. We are planning to maybe go to Breckenridge or something on Thursday. We don't have any ski stuff so we didn't think we should purchase all that stuff for one day. We are excited to go and see all the snow though.
We are hoping to get back there and ski sometime since i've never been. I am really looking forward to it after reading your post.

Even though I hate skiing and snow, I sure would love a getaway! It all looked beautiful! I just caught up on your blog tonight and "Bryson's post" was hilarious!

I think sipping on some Starbucks in the pretty lodge sounds darn good too!!! Haven't skiied since my foot surgeries... not sure if I'll ever be brave enough again! But sounds so fun and looks SO gorgeous. Glad y'all had a great getaway! Can't wait for some good Bryson Christmas stories!! :)

i think we all should go and have a party in the ski lodge or ski. Wouldn't that be fun? I love to ski, jeff hates it. he is a california boy after all.
